Interactive course · for surgeons in any health system

Turn clinical insight into advisory income, without leaving practice.

Health-tech and med-tech companies are building tools for surgeons without seeing what happens on a real list. You see it every week. This course shows you how to turn that into paid advisory work, step by step, with tools that do the hard parts with you.

What changes

From a job title to a reason to hire you

By Chapter 5 you replace a credential with one sentence a founder can act on. Watch the difference.

BeforeHow most surgeons introduce themselves

“I help surgical-planning software companies understand why surgeons skip the planning step on busy trauma lists, so they can design a workflow that fits a real list.”

The opportunity

Founders need what you already know

Companies building AI scribes, theatre scheduling, surgical planning, remote monitoring and aesthetic platforms mostly learn about surgery from surveys and idealised workflow diagrams. Your pattern recognition from real lists, clinics and on-call shifts saves them months of trial and error. That is worth paying for.

The problemMost surgeons undersell itThey give advice for free, introduce themselves by title, and agree to vague, open-ended arrangements.
The gapNobody teaches the business sidePositioning, outreach, scoping, pricing, contracts and declarations are not part of surgical training.
The courseA structured path, start to first feeFrom spotting your insight to a scoped, priced, properly declared first engagement.
How it works

Not an ebook. Every chapter is a lesson you do.

Each chapter follows the same six steps, so you learn the idea, practise it on realistic cases, and leave with something you can use the same week. Your answers save as you go.

Question

A founder reads your introduction. What do they need to understand first?

Ehab Badran
Your guide

Written by a practising surgeon

Ehab Badran · Plastic surgeon in private practice and founder

We spend a decade learning to operate and about five minutes learning how to price it, market it, or build anything that earns without us standing in theatre. I help surgeons fix that.

I started building outside the operating theatre while working full-time as a surgeon. First a newsletter, then a guide, then small products. Every skill was learned from scratch, with no blueprint, while still showing up for patients every day. Everything I teach, I run on myself first.

This course takes that approach to one of the most practical routes there is: paid advisory work with the companies building tools for surgeons. Not leaving surgery. Owning the business behind it.

Who it’s for

Built for practising surgeons, anywhere

Consultants and attendingsYou have years of pattern recognition and want a structured way to offer it, alongside your clinical work.
Surgeons in private practiceYou see patient expectations, booking and follow-up problems that platform companies are trying to solve.
Senior traineesYou use the newest clinical software every day and want to build commercial skills early.

It is not for anyone looking to leave medicine or become a startup founder. The course is about building advisory work that fits around your practice.

Questions

Frequently asked

Does this work outside the UK?

Yes. The course is written for surgeons in any health system. Examples cover the NHS, US hospitals, private practice, the Gulf and Australia. Where rules differ by country, such as conflict-of-interest declarations, the course explains what to check where you practise.

How long do I have access?

Access doesn’t expire. You also get any updates to the course.

How do I open it on another device?

Go to the Log in page and enter the email you paid with and the receipt number from your Stripe receipt email. Your course opens on that device.

Where are my answers saved?

In your own browser, on the device you use. Nothing you type into the tools is sent to us. If you switch devices or clear your browser data, your access still works but your saved answers stay on the original device.

How long does it take?

About five hours in total. Each chapter takes 15 to 20 minutes, so you can do one between lists or after clinic.

Is this legal, tax or financial advice?

No. The course is educational. It explains contracts, declarations and pricing in plain English and tells you what to check, but you should take professional advice for your own situation and follow your employer’s and regulator’s rules.

What if it isn’t right for me?
